A Message from SimpliFi President James Quick about COVID-19

Before we discuss any of the actions we are taking as a business related to COVID-19, I want to first express our deepest condolences to the individuals and families impacted by the virus, and our greatest appreciation to all of the healthcare professionals who are sacrificing so much serving those in need.

Virtually every industry and individual in our country has been impacted by this pandemic, but very few are in a position to be part of helping those impacted by the virus. We count ourselves fortunate to be in the business we are in and to be shoulder-to-shoulder with our health system partners, helping provide the healthcare professionals they need to serve their communities.

As the number of confirmed cases increases rapidly, so has the patient census and the need for qualified clinicians at the health systems we serve. In the weeks since COVID-19 started the SimpliFi team has been in contact with our clients every day of the week, providing a calm and knowledgeable presence to help them navigate a labor market which is changing by the hour.

Our team has consistently met the challenges each new day has brought for our clients, and I am confident we will continue to do so. We remain committed to being a trusted source of information and resources to you during this time and our hope is this page helps provide you with both. We will continue to update this page as we learn new information from industry leaders and experts.

Thank you for all you are doing, and will do in the weeks ahead.

Best regards,
James

SimpliFi’s Communication Protocol

SimpliFi employs a team of clinicians led by our Chief Clinical Officer and former CNO to provide clinical guidance to our business partners and health system clients. Right now, they’re meeting with NATHO (the National Association of Travel Healthcare Organizations), the Joint Commission, and the CDC for guidance and standardized responses.

Many of the clinical travelers are on the front lines and continue to follow infection prevention and control guidelines can minimize risk. SimpliFi is obtaining daily protocols from each respective health system following CDC and WHO recommendations and sharing this pertinent information with our staffing partners to continue our efforts at keeping all necessary parties informed.

What You Can Do Now to Protect Yourself

Learn Facility Protocol

First and foremost, know and follow your facility’s outbreak preparation plan. Seek out charge nurses, managers, or other staff to find out ASAP. Ensure you know your facility’s isolation protocol. Some hospitals may have a dedicated floor, but most will have Airborne Infection Isolation Rooms.

Put it into Practice

Knowing and following are 2 different animals. Be sure that you don’t skip any steps when it comes to PPE or potentially infectious materials. If it’s been a while, refer to this quick CDC guide for PPE.

Refer to Industry Experts to Stay Informed on COVID-19

Always refer to local and state health departments to know what is happening in your location. The CDC, JAMA Network, and WHO consistently post updates, epidemiological features, and statistics surrounding the disease.
